St. Petersburg’s Sunken Gardens household to some of the oldest tropical crops in the location


St. Petersburg’s oldest living museum is a botanical paradise in the midst of the bustling metropolis. The 100-calendar year-aged Sunken Gardens is home to some of the oldest tropical vegetation in the region.

“It’s spring time, flowers are in bloom, virtually anything is in bloom correct now, and we have tons of unique flowers and other abnormal vegetation you can’t see any place else other than here,” Maggie Jensen, a horticulture specialist at Sunken Garden, reported.

The Sunken Gardens are open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday’s from 12-4:30 p.m.
