HIGHLANDS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Viewers of News Channel 8 submitted a hanging safety camera video clip Sunday of a lightning bolt exploding the ground outside of a Sebring property more than the weekend.
Denice Murphy said her partner Rod was exterior turning off the sprinklers in advance of some forecasted rain Saturday early morning when a lightning bolt struck mere yards absent from him.
Their Ring safety digicam captured the putting second on digicam.
In the video clip, the bolt can be seen sending chunks of red-scorching earth various ft into the air. Thankfully, Rod did not show up to be injured.
Information Channel 8 is operating to obtain the extent of the hurt.
