Just after 2-12 months hiatus, 8th annual Salute to Ag Breakfast was held March 25 – Shaw Community


Soon after remaining compelled to miss the previous two several years for the reason that of the pandemic, on March 25 the Salute to Ag Breakfast returned to the Barn at Hornbaker Gardens.

The event web hosting numerous individuals and teams included in regional agriculture. Nearby Boy Scouts ended up existing and offered the hues.

All Bureau County Higher University FFA Chapters have been invited to the function as perfectly as IVCC and speaker Tony Spirling who spoke on his make cooperative and hydroponics farm.

During the event the placemat artwork contest winners ended up announced as 3rd-graders Elyse Lambert, finest in present, and Alyxis Watson, ideal use of theme, have been equally introduced with their awards.

Four scholarships to regional seniors who are pursuing a diploma and eventual occupation in agriculture were also awarded.

The scholarship recipients included Alex Jagers and Aubreanna Vogel from Princeton, Addison Hicks from Bureau Valley and Kiersten Shevokas from LaMoille.

The Bureau Valley Chamber of Commerce many thanks anyone for their support in the job to endorse agriculture in Bureau County.

The team seems to be forward to internet hosting the event in the coming many years.
