The Stokes Extension Learn Gardener Volunteer Association offered a donation to the Mates of Sauratown Mountains to be employed to renovate the grounds adjacent to the Visitors’ Heart at Hanging Rock Condition Park.
The new renovation of the Visitors’ Heart has resulted in destruction to the landscape all over the constructing and facilitates some necessary updates.
The Buddies of Sauratown Mountains will program, buy, and plant native shrubs and flowers which will enrich the setting. Park staff will guide in the landscape style and design. Signage will accompany plantings to educate the community to what they are seeing, and that these plants are native to North Carolina and this location.
Grasp Gardener Volunteer Alice Kiger put fantastic effort into compiling and delivering a record of indigenous shrubs and bouquets and their progress traits which are ideal to the area and what they call for for care.
Park Superintendent Robin Riddlebarger and Friends of Sauratown Mountains President Debbie Vaden explained they were incredibly pleased to get this extremely well timed donation, and will get started planning and planting suitable away.
