Glenwood instructor recognized for agricultural education and learning – Alexandria Echo Push

GLENWOOD — Tiffany Kobbermann, a household and customer science instructor at Minnewaska High College in Glenwood, has gained the Minnesota Agriculture in the Classroom 2022 Instructor of the Calendar year award.

In her application, Kobbermann wrote that “all of my lessons are agriculturally centered. I believe that that students need a properly-rounded standpoint of agriculture. My hope is that my learners will share the good points they study with their mates and family members and the circle of learning will carry on to mature.”

Kobbermann will receive a $500 stipend and up to $1,500 in costs to show up at the 2022 Countrywide Agriculture in the Classroom Meeting in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., in June.

The MAITC Foundation also declared 10 recipients of its 2022 Agricultural Literacy Grants, created to guidance educational efforts close to ag literacy from kindergarten to large university throughout the condition.

The grants of up to $500 just about every will assist support agricultural literacy efforts that involve arms-on pursuits with bees, chickens, dairy, hydroponics and extra.
