Crestview summer time gardening, April plant clinic scheduled


It will not be long before we once again are in the warmth of summertime right here in North Florida. The warmth, rain, humidity, bugs and fungi all acquire their toll on our gardens and landscapes.

To much better get ready for this, you may possibly be fascinated in attending a cost-free seminar titled “The Heat is On! Thriving Gardening in the Florida Summer season.”

The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences has scheduled a seminar and clinic on spring and summer gardening.

The one-hour presentation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, at the College of Florida Institute of Meals and Agricultural Sciences Extension Office environment at 3098 Airport Highway in Crestview. 

Margaret Stewart, a Grasp Gardener volunteer, will cover what vegetables to improve that will superior survive the Florida heat. We are going to also deal with herbs, annuals and perennials to take into account expanding during the hotter summer season months.
