Botanic gardens volunteers to acquire governor’s award


Delaware Botanic Gardens volunteers are among the the teams to obtain 2021 Governor’s Excellent Volunteer Company Awards.

Recipients have been chosen for substantial contributions, engagement and effect in diverse service routines. 

Ray Sander, Delaware Botanic Gardens president, thanked Gov. John Carney for recognizing the extraordinary contribution of the botanic gardens volunteers and particularly the tireless do the job of its garden stewards.

“Public botanical gardens are spots of beauty and conservation wherever the general public can get pleasure from and be educated about the job and value of horticulture.
