Abu Dhabi awards $84m deal for building two farms

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Meals Protection Authority (ADAFSA) has signed two Musataha contracts with two neighborhood non-public sector organizations to make and function two farms, a person in Al Ain and the other in Abu Dhabi, with a total worth of about AED310 million ($84.3 million).


The first Musataha agreement was signed with Emirates Hydroponics Farms to create and work a hydroponic farm for the creation of vegetables, fruits, and mushrooms for canning in a managed atmosphere at a overall investment decision of AED260 million. The farm located in the Abu Dhabi region will come up on a 325,000 sq m spot.


ADAFSA explained the second Musataha contract was signed with the Emirates Intercontinental Agricultural Sophisticated Company for the establishment and procedure of a farm for the creation of greens and fruits in the process of net homes, in addition to the growing of azola and jojoba plants and fish farming (Aquaponic). 


The Al Ain farm will appear up on a 750,000 sq m place at charge of about AED50 million.
